All India Protest Day on  Naxalbari Day

On Naxalbari day CPI(ML) observed nationwide protest day against repression on Kalinganagar Bistapan Virodhi movement and Posco pratirodh movements continuing in Odisha and against displacement and imperialist-Corporate loot.
Gherao of Tata and Posco Corparate Office at Bhubaneswer
On 25th May 8 am a rally led by Bhubaneswar area committee of CPI(ML) from Jayadev square reached at Fortune Tower the corporate office of TATA STEEL and POSCO. Around five hundred comrades shouting slogans Stop repression on democratic mass movements Stop displacement and loot in the name of development and industrilisation, Punish the Dist. Collector, SP and those who are responsible for the repeated firings at Kalinganagar and killing, Killer Navin Patnaik Govt. Down Down, Revoke all MoU’s with MNC’s and Corporate Houses,and with colourful banners, placards and red flags gheraoed Fortune Tower. At the main gate of that office people tried to enter forcibly. Around half an  hour  tussle with police continued. The main gate of the office was totally closed by the demonstrators, so no one entered and came out upto 12 O’clock.  In front of the gate a protest meeting was organized presided by CPI(ML) Bhubaneswar area committee secretary Com. Harihar Sahoo.  CPI(ML) State Secretary Com. Sivaram, TUCI state president Com. Jayadev Nayak, AIRWO State president Pramila, RYFI leader Sabyasachi and Raghunath, AIKAM leader Abeswar Digal and Sanjukta Kanhar, Basti Surakshya Mancha leader Rama Chandra Sahoo led the rally and demonstration. Following the CPI (ML) Central Committee’s call the State Committee organized state wide campaign declaring solidarity with Kalinga Nagar and other People’ Resistance Struggles all over the country. Large scale leaflet distribution and street corner meetings were organized before.
Protest rally and effigy burning of Navin Patnaik at Bhadrak
At Bhadrak a protest rally led by Bhadrak Dist Committee of CPI(ML) starting from Punjabi bye-pass and reached infront of Dist. Collectorate and demonstrated there. The effigy of comprador and killer Navin Patnaik was burnt. Dist secy com.Susanta, AIRWO leader Indumati, Gagan Jena, Kailash jena led the rally and condemned the Navin Patnaik Govt. in the protest meeting.
Protest Meeting at Bijipur, Puri Dist.
At Bijipur of Gopa Block, Puri dist. a protest meeting was organized by CPI(ML) Puri Dist. Committee presided by Dist. committee member Com. Batakrushna Sahoo. Peasant leader Artatrana Raut, Prafulla Pradhan and Netrananda Das spoke in the protest meeting. Widely leaflet distribution was done by CPI(ML) committee at Puri Dist.
CPI(ML) Observed 20th May as Protest Day
As per the declaration at the state-wide Gana Convention, the CPI(ML) Odisha state committee started campaigning to make this success. On 20th May at Bhubaneswar CPI(ML), CPI(ML) Liberation and SUCI(C) jointly took out a rally from Bhubaneswar Railway Station and it reached Before state assembly. A protest meeting organized there. CPI(ML) leaders com. Harihar Sahoo, Pramila, Gopinath Nayak led the rally and Com. Pramila spoke in the protest meeting.  At Bhadrak a massive rally started from Serapur reached at Dolasahi Bazar with shouting slogans. At Dolasahi Bazar square a protest meeting organized. The rally was led by CPI(ML) Bhadrak district secretary com. Susanta Jena, AIRWO state secretary com. Indumati, Jeevan–Jeevika Surakshya Samiti leader Tunilata Jena, AIRSO State President com. Jayanti Jena and state secretary com. Prasanta Purti. CPI(ML) state secretary com. Sivaram participated in protest meeting.
