Boycott Trump’s Visit; Demonstrate Asking to Get Out!

13 February 2020

At the invitation of primr minister Narendra Modi the US president Trump, the imperialist chieftain and enemy of the world people, is visiting  Ahmedabad and Delhi on 24-25 February. The visit of Trump to India is to further strengthen the strategic partnership treaty between the fascist rulers of these two countries against the South Asian peoples, to ignite conflicts and sell more warfare to increase India’s  dependence on the US. It is not for the benefit of the people, but to strengthen the relation between the ruling classes of US and India this visit and Trump-Modi talks are planned.

Like ‘birds of the same feather’, it is a time when in more and more courtiers, the neo-fascists  of the neo-liberal phase of imperialism are coming to power, and with Trump in the forefront they are flocking together, intensifying the exploitation and oppression of the world people, helping concentration of wealth  in the hands of top 1% of the corporate thugs, devastating the livelihood and life of the people, and threatening the very survival of the humankind due to environmental catastrophe across the globe. Murderous conflicts are provoked everywhere, promoting weapon trade. While imperialist plunder and bloody  sectarian strife force tens of millions to flee from their habitats, Trump builds walls to block them and Modi communalize citizenship and tries to make millions living in Inda stateless. Against the very spirit of UN Declaration of Humsn  Rights, even existing secular democratic egalitarian values are attacked, destroyed.

In this situation, when the US-Israeli- Indian alliance against Palestininan and other oppressed peoples are strengthening, the visit of Trump will only worsen the conflicts in this region and further impoverish and dis-empower the people. CPI(ML) Red Star appeals to all left, democratic and progressive forces, all anti-imperialist forces to come together and organize powerful demonstrations against Trump’s visit on 25th February at as many places as possible. Let us boycott his visit and ask him to Get Out of India.

The Communist movement in India has a history of almost a century after the salvos of October Revolution in Russia brought Marxism-Leninism to the people of India who were engaged in the national liberation struggle against the British colonialists. It is a complex and chequered history.
